(Sajjad Abdullajintakam)
I am a geologist/geochemist with an active interest in understanding the biogeochemistry associated with Carbon (particularly methane) and related elemental cycling on Earth and habitable planets.

Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Elizabeth Swanner's group at Iowa State University. Prior to this, I was a Geology instructor at the United Tribes Technical College for a year. I completed my Ph.D. at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) with Dr. Richard Coffin's group. with a focus on Environmental Geology and Geochemistry.
Professionally, I am passionate about inclusive geoscience education, R&D, science-based solutions to environmental and geological problems, and organizational development strategies.
Outside of science, I am a soccer enthusiast and an occasional electronic music mixer. My world, otherwise, consists of some lovely people that I'm lucky to call family and friends.
